Sheridan Brown gained a first class honours degree in geography from the University of Birmingham in 1988 prior to joining Pergamon Press in an editorial capacity. Following a spell as Market Research and Planning Manager in Pergamon's marketing department, he joined MCB University Press [now re-branded as Emerald], a publisher of over one hundred business journals. As Associate Director of Electronic Publishing, Sheridan was closely involved in setting the foundations for Emerald's successful electronic publishing programme. After a period as Head of Marketing with a publishing software company, he set up Key Perspectives with Alma Swan in 1996. Sheridan has an MBA from Warwick Business School and is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute.
